Sri Lankan President requests PM to play Pakistan-India match

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake held a telephonic conversation in which the Sri Lankan President requested the Prime Minister to play the Pakistan-India match to be held in Sri Lanka.

Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake said in a telephonic conversation that the Pakistani cricket team should play the Pakistan-India match held in Sri Lanka, Pakistan had fully supported Sri Lankan cricket during the terrorism in Sri Lanka.

He said that Pakistan had prioritized its long-standing relations with Sri Lanka above everything and the Pakistani cricket team continued to tour Sri Lanka to play cricket despite terrorism.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif welcomed the sentiments of the Sri Lankan President and said that Sri Lanka had also provided full support in difficult times in Pakistan and continued cricket in Pakistan.
