PSL franchise Multan Sultans was sold for Rs 2.45 billion. Wali Tech bought the team by bidding the highest and renamed it Rawalpindi.
The auction ceremony was held at Expo Center Lahore where Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board Mohsin Naqvi was present. Former PCB Chairman Najam Sethi and former national team captain Zaheer Abbas were also present on the occasion.
The base price of Multan Sultans was set at Rs 182 crore while 5 bidders competed for the ownership rights of Multan Sultans.
The highest bid in the Multan Sultans auction was Rs 245 crore and this franchise was sold for Rs 245 crore.
PSL team Multan was bought by Wali Tech for Rs 2.45 billion for 10 years and the team was renamed Rawalpindi. Multan has become the most expensive franchise in PSL.
