The Federation inaugurated a digitalized federal dispensary in the FC area.

Federal Health Minister Syed Mustafa Kamal has revealed that DNA tests of the remains of the bodies of the Gul Plaza tragedy could not be done for five days, after which the federal government had to intervene.

According to the details, Mustafa Kamal stressed the need to establish DNA laboratories in every province. He expressed these views at the inauguration ceremony of the digitalized federal dispensary in the FC area.

Under the Healthcare Digitalization Program, the process of equipping federal primary health centers with modern facilities is underway. The Federal Health Minister inaugurated Karachi’s third digitalized federal dispensary in the FC area. This dispensary has been established in collaboration with Sehat Kahani and the Federal Ministry of Health, which is the sixth dispensary under Sehat Kahani in Pakistan.

Addressing the ceremony, Sehat Kahani CEO Sara Syed Khurram said that Sehat Kahani is a telemedicine institution that has been upgraded with the support of the Federal Health Minister. He said that earlier, dispensaries have also been modernized at Karachi’s airport and Jacob Lines, where patients are being provided with free medicines along with examination.

Federal Health Minister Syed Mustafa Kamal, while addressing the gathering, said that it is a happy day that the old dispensary under the Federal Ministry of Health has been equipped with modern facilities. He said that ten such dispensaries are being prepared across Pakistan, of which six will be in Islamabad and four in Karachi.

He said that the NIH had issued an alert regarding the Nipah virus four days ago and the public should take precautionary measures, however, Alhamdulillah, Pakistan is still safe from the Nipah virus.

The Federal Health Minister said that major accidents, transplants and complex operations take place in big hospitals, but 70 to 80 percent of health needs can be met from primary and secondary centers.

He said that to avoid future tragedies, it is important to take practical steps based on the findings of accidents, rather than waiting for one accident to happen after another.
