PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi has said that if the notification to evacuate the Tirah Valley is not withdrawn, I will call a jirga of the entire Pakhtun nation. There are three options to remove me: Governor’s rule should be imposed, I should be disqualified, or I should be killed.
Addressing the participants of the Street Movement rally in Mingora, the Chief Minister said that the notification issued by the federal government said that the Tirah victims are migrating of their own free will. If this notification is not withdrawn and an apology is not sought, I will call a jirga of the Afridi nation, after that I will call a jirga of the Pakhtun nation. If the matter goes wrong, I will take the migrating victims to Tirah myself.
He said that after coming from Islamabad, press conferences are held in Peshawar that Sohail Afridi’s name is not approved, no institution should interfere in politics, no institution should object to my name, my name was given by my leader, no one should object, every tactic was used to prevent me from becoming the Chief Minister, when the narrative was not made, it was said about me that he is connected with terrorists, when each narrative failed, three options were given, the options given were Governor’s rule in the province or Sohail Afridi will be disqualified, when the options of Governor’s rule and disqualification failed, Sohail Afridi will be killed.
