Karachi: The Movement for the Protection of the Constitution of Pakistan, in its All Parties Conference declaration, has demanded an impartial Election Commission and free and fair elections and has said that Article 6 should be imposed against those who snatched the public mandate.

In the declaration of the All Parties Conference held at the Karachi Press Club, the Movement for the Protection of the Constitution of Pakistan has presented its demands and has said that an impartial Election Commission and free and fair elections should be held.

It was demanded that Article 6 be imposed against those who snatched the public mandate, the Sindh government has failed to provide facilities to the people, and the freedom of the media has been abolished through the 26th and 27th constitutional amendments.

In the declaration, the opposition condemned the forced transfers of judges, and also demanded the release of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi, other political prisoners, and condemned the refusal to meet Imran Khan and said that the ban on meeting Imran Khan should be lifted.

The conference condemned the false cases against the leaders of the Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) and while discussing the rights of journalists, it demanded the repeal of the PECA Act and condemned the false FIR against journalist Matiullah Jan, the false cases against renowned lawyer Iman Mazari and her husband.

The Pakistan Constitution Protection Movement said that economic stability is linked to political stability, multinational institutions are about to close, the enforced disappearances of political figures should be stopped, and the jirga held in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa should be implemented.

The government was demanded to stop the military operation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and that under the constitution, minerals are the property of the provinces, and water should be distributed according to the 91 card.

Regarding neighboring countries, it was said that Iran is also being tightened, the government should call a meeting of neighboring countries keeping in mind possible crises and a joint session of parliament should be called on the issue of Gaza.

The opposition alliance said that Shutter Down Wheel Jam Black Day will be observed on February 8.
