The situation during the nationwide protests in Iran became more tense when the United States also intervened.

According to the international news agency, tensions between the two countries have increased dangerously after the US President supported the protesters and threatened to attack Iran.

On the other hand, Iran has also accused the protesters of being supported by foreign countries, including the United States and Israel.

In the latest development, Iranian intelligence has claimed that American weapons and explosives have been recovered from different parts of the country.

The statement said that these weapons and explosives were hidden by the miscreants in their homes and were taking instructions from abroad.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi told Al Jazeera in an interview that Iran also has audio recordings in which orders are being given to terrorist agents from abroad to shoot at police and protesters.

He added that the internet was shut down only when we became convinced that the terrorists were receiving instructions for these actions from outside the country. “Whose purpose was to spread murder and destruction.”

It should be noted that Iran has previously accused the US and Israel of using foreign agents to turn the protests into violence.

Meanwhile, according to Iranian media, vehicles and buildings were set on fire during protests in various cities, including Tehran, while fierce clashes between security forces and protesters are also ongoing.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said on President Trump’s threats of military action that if the US wants to try the military option, we are ready. This option has been tried before.

However, he also said that Iran still considers negotiations to be the wisest path, but some powers want to push the US into war for the interests of Israel.

On the other hand, according to the office of US Vice President JD Vance, senior officials including Secretary of State Marco Rubio are presenting diplomatic and military options to President Trump.

Human rights organizations have claimed that the number of people killed in the 15-day protests in Iran has exceeded 800.

United Nations has also expressed concern over the situation, saying that the death toll in Iran has reached hundreds.

It should be noted that the ongoing protests in Iran against the economic downturn and the sharp depreciation of the currency since December 28 have now turned into an anti-government movement.
