More than 9,000 projects have been completed in Sindh, Sharjeel Memon

Karachi: Senior Minister Sindh Sharjeel Inam Memon has said that more than 9,000 projects have been completed in Sindh.

In his statement regarding development and other projects in the province, Sharjeel Memon said that more than 13,000 projects have been launched in the province so far, while 9,193 projects have been completed in different sectors. Work is underway on health, education, agriculture, roads, irrigation and social projects under foreign aid of Rs 367 billion and Rs 76 billion under the federal PSDP.

He said that the development vision of the Sindh government is not only aimed at launching projects but also at ensuring timely completion and strict adherence to quality. In this regard, the departments were directed to start new projects only when the existing projects are completed. Speedy completion of development projects in Karachi and adherence to quality are an integral part of the development vision.

Sharjeel Memon said that the aim of every development project in the city is to improve the lives of citizens and strengthen the infrastructure of Karachi. Upgradation works of roads, parks, drainage, sewerage and street lighting have been completed under the Karachi Neighborhood Improvement Project (KNIP). The projects completed under this project have brought about a clear improvement in the quality of urban life.

The senior provincial minister said that on the instructions of the Chief Minister, urban master plans are being strictly implemented to prevent unplanned works. Under the Sindh Municipal Services Delivery Program, water supply, sewage and wastewater management have also been improved in Jacobabad and other cities. The aim of every development project underway in the province is to ensure public services, economic activity and sustainability.

He said that timely completion of every project, quality assurance and benefits for the people are the real success of development.
