Former Senator Mushtaq Ahmed announces formation of new political party

ISLAMABAD: Former Senator Mushtaq Ahmed announced the establishment of a new political party, Pakistan Rights Movement.

According to Express News, the central leadership, workers, comrades and members of civil society attended the announcement ceremony of the new political party. On this occasion, Mushtaq Ahmed said that our party will work by adhering to the principles of the 1973 Constitution. The common man in the society is deprived of his rights, that is why our party will serve everyone on an equal footing.

The formal establishment ceremony of the Pakistan Rights Movement was held in a private hotel in the federal capital, Islamabad, in which a large number of central leadership, workers and comrades attended. On this occasion, former Senator Mushtaq Ahmed Khan announced the establishment of the new political party and said that the party will be run according to the 1973 Constitution, which recognizes the sovereignty of Allah Almighty and guarantees Islamic principles.

He said that the aim of the Pakistan Rights Movement is to end the monopoly of a few classes, provide socio-economic justice, speedy and affordable justice, freedom of expression, provision of education and health, eradicate poverty and corruption, end extrajudicial killings and military operations and restore trust between federal units.

Former Senator Mushtaq Ahmed Khan, while calling the current parliamentary system fake, said that there are restrictions on journalism and expression in the country. Unemployment, inflation, food insecurity, drugs, environmental pollution and corruption have become serious problems.

He also criticized the defense budget, monopoly of the elite, payments to IPPs, plight of the youth and human trafficking and demanded that the people, assemblies and regional jirgas be taken into confidence before military operations. He said that the armed forces should avoid political activities, the borders should be secured and talented and honest leadership should be brought forward to give the country the right direction.
