Representatives of two new PSL teams meet with the Prime Minister

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has been met by representatives of the firms that won the bidding for two new teams in the Pakistan Super League.

According to the details, the representatives included Hamza Majeed of the firm ‘O-Z Developer’, which acquired the Sialkot team, and Fawad Sarwar of the firm ‘FKS’, which acquired the Hyderabad team.

The Prime Minister congratulated the representatives of both the teams and expressed his best wishes for them.

The Prime Minister paid tribute to the Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi and the PCB management for the successful bidding process.

The Prime Minister said that the bidding process for the new PSL teams was broadcast live on television, which is a clear proof of its transparency.

Shehbaz Sharif said that the inclusion of two new teams will help in the promotion of cricket at the grassroots level and the emergence of new talent, these two new teams will prove to be a breath of fresh air for the PSL.

He said that it is very welcome that international firms have come forward to bid for these two teams, this process has promoted foreign investment in Pakistan.

The Prime Minister said that overseas Pakistanis have always played an important role in the country’s development.

Shahbaz Sharif said that the way domestic and international firms showed interest in the bidding process for new PSL teams can be gauged from the popularity of PSL at the international level.

Federal Minister for Interior and Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi and Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar were also present in the meeting.
