Remittances from overseas Pakistanis increase by 11%, $3.2 billion received in September

Karachi: Pakistan received $3.2 billion in remittances from overseas workers during September 2025.

According to the State Bank, remittances recorded an increase of 11.3 percent compared to the same month last year. According to the data, overseas Pakistanis sent a total of $9.5 billion home during the first quarter of the fiscal year 2025-26, which is 8.4 percent more than the $8.8 billion remittances received in the same period of the previous fiscal year.

The largest share of remittances received in the month of September came from Saudi Arabia, from where $750.9 million was received. $677.1 million was received from the United Arab Emirates, $454.8 million from the United Kingdom and $269 million from the United States.

According to the State Bank, the continuous increase in remittances reflects the increased confidence of overseas Pakistanis and the use of formal financial channels.
