Abu Ubaida, the spokesman for the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian resistance organization Hamas, was martyred in an Israeli attack.

According to Arab media reports, Palestinian sources and family members confirmed Abu Ubaida’s martyrdom and said that he was targeted during an attack on his apartment yesterday.

No official statement from Hamas has been released in this regard yet, but Palestinian sources say that Abu Ubaida was targeted when he was in his apartment in Gaza.

Earlier, the Israeli Prime Minister and Defense Minister claimed that Abu Ubaida, the spokesman for the Al-Qassam Brigades, was targeted as a result of an operation.

According to the Reuters news agency, Netanyahu announced the death of Hamas spokesman Abu Ubaida on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Palestinian sources also confirmed that Abu Ubaida was martyred yesterday.

Sources say that Abu Ubaida had been living in the apartment that was targeted by Israeli planes with rockets yesterday for a few days and that he was at home at the time of the attack.

Al-Qassam Brigades sources have also confirmed Abu Ubaydah’s death, while Israeli media is also reporting the death of the Hamas spokesman.

According to Al-Jazeera, 77 Palestinians were killed in Israeli operations in the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to over 63,300.
