ISLAMABAD: The meeting chaired by the Federal Finance Minister approved the reconstitution of the Board of Directors of NESPAK.

According to Express News, a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on State-Owned Enterprises was held under the chairmanship of Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, in which the reconstitution of the Board of Directors of NESPAK was approved.

The committee approved the appointment of Javed Aslam, Muhammad Ali, Pir Saad Ahsanuddin, Omar Hassan and Shahana Ahmed Ali as part of the board. These appointments were made under the State-Owned Enterprises Governance and Operations Act 2023.

The decision was taken in light of the recommendations of the Board Nomination Committee, while the committee emphasized that the nomination and screening process should be made timely and transparent so as to avoid any delay. The institutions have been directed to complete this process in a coordinated and systematic manner.
