The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the central contracts for 2025-26.
According to the details, no player, including the captains of all three formats, could make it to Category A.
30 players have been given central contracts for the current season. This includes 12 players who were not part of the central contract last year.
Five players have been promoted from Category C to B. Nine players have been retained in their categories from last year.
Amir Jamal, Haseebullah, Kamran Ghulam, Mir Hamza, Muhammad Ali, Muhammad Hurairah, Muhammad Irfan Khan and Usman Khan, who were included in the central contract last year, have not been included in the central contract this year.
The central contract will be implemented from July 1, 2025. There are ten players in the three categories B, C and D.
Category B:
Abrar Ahmed, Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, Hassan Ali, Muhammad Rizwan, Saim Ayub, Salman Ali Agha, Shadab Khan and Shaheen Shah Afridi
Category C:
Abdullah Shafiq, Faheem Ashraf, Hassan Nawaz, Muhammad Haris, Muhammad Nawaz, Naseem Shah, Noman Ali, Sahibzada Farhan, Sajid Khan and Saud Shakeel
Category D:
Ahmed Daniyal, Hussain Talat, Khurram Shahzad, Khushdil Shah, Muhammad Abbas, Muhammad Abbas Afridi, Muhammad Wasim Jr., Salman Mirza, Shan Masood and Sufyan Muqim
New players added:
