Pakistan cricket team players congratulate the nation on Independence Day

Pakistan cricket team players have extended heartfelt greetings to the nation on the occasion of Independence Day.

In a video released by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), ODI captain Muhammad Rizwan, T20 captain Salman Ali Agha, Babar Azam and other players and members of the team management conveyed a message of patriotism and unity.

Muhammad Rizwan congratulated the people of Pakistan, while Salman Agha appealed to the citizens to keep the country clean.

Highlighting the historical significance of the day, Babar Azam said, “Remember, Pakistan was established on this day. This day gives us our identity and defines us as a nation.”

The nation celebrated Independence Day with traditional enthusiasm and reaffirmed its commitment to the objectives of the Pakistan Movement and the vision of a true Islamic welfare state.

It should be noted that the celebration began with a 31-gun salute in the federal capital and a 21-gun salute in the provincial capitals. After Fajr, special prayers were offered for the security, prosperity and well-being of the country and the people.
