Karachi: TikTok has released its Community Guidelines Implementation Report for the first quarter of 2025.
The report is based on data from January 2025 to March 2025, according to which TikTok removed a total of 24,954,128 videos in Pakistan for violating its Community Guidelines during the three-month period.
The proactive removal rate in Pakistan was extremely high at 99.4 percent, with 95.8 percent of videos being removed within 24 hours.
Globally, TikTok removed a total of 211 million videos during the quarter, which is about 0.9 percent of the total content uploaded to the platform.
Of the deleted videos, 184,378,987 were identified and deleted by automated systems, while 7,525,184 videos were restored after further review.
The pre-deletion rate was 99.0 percent, and 94.3 percent of flagged content was removed within 24 hours of being posted.
The report also noted that a large portion of the total videos removed—30.1 percent—contained sensitive or mature themes that did not comply with TikTok’s policies regarding content.
Additionally, 11.5 percent of videos violated the platform’s safety and decency standards, while 15.6 percent violated privacy and security guidelines.
In addition, 45.5 percent of the videos removed were marked as misinformation and 13.8 percent were identified as edited media and artificial intelligence-generated content.
