Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti has claimed that there was no marital relationship between the man and woman killed in the province, both were already married and had children.

Speaking at a press conference, the Balochistan Chief Minister said that all the accused involved in the incident that took place in Balochistan will be arrested and action will be taken against them.

He said that this incident is going viral on social media and people want to know the real truth about it. There are reports circulating on social media that the victims were a newly married couple, but he wants to make it clear to everyone that the two had no marital relationship. The woman who was killed in the incident has five children and her husband’s name is Noor, while the murdered man was also already married and has six children.

According to the Chief Minister, both were brutally murdered, which is unacceptable in any way, neither society allows it nor the government. The government will not show any leniency towards the accused.

He further said that the most worrying thing about this case is that no one is ready to register an FIR, the parents and children of the victims are present, but no FIR has been registered so far, when the police go for investigation, the men have disappeared from the area, while the women come out of their houses and pelt stones at the police.

According to Sarfaraz Bugti, no one obtained this video from outside, but it is the kindness of the killers that they posted it themselves, the government is conducting a thorough investigation into the matter and the killers will soon be presented in court.

He said that today is the era of social media, where news spreads without research and in his opinion, after knowing any news, it must be investigated.

The Chief Minister further said that there is no doubt that we are part of a society where the jirga system is still in place and somewhere or the other we are all coming under the influence of this system, but the government is taking action against these jirgas while staying within the constitutional framework.
