Islamabad: It has been decided to challenge the seniority of the judges of the Islamabad High Court, Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani will challenge this decision of the President.

According to sources, legal proceedings are underway to challenge the decision, an appeal will be filed against this decision of the President after the legal consultation is completed.

President Asif Ali Zardari had declared the appointment of the transferred judges correct and declared Justice Sarfaraz Dogar as the senior most judge, the President had declared Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani as the senior most judge.

It should be remembered that the 5-member Constitutional Bench of the Supreme Court had declared the transfer of judges constitutional, the Constitutional Bench had sent the matter of seniority to the President for resolution, five judges of the Islamabad High Court have filed an intra-court appeal against the decision of the Constitutional Bench.
