The United States has responded to the Pakistan-Iran gas pipeline project and said that talks are ongoing with the government of Pakistan on the Iran gas pipeline project.
The spokesperson of the US Department of State says that he cannot comment on private diplomatic talks with Pakistan. Helping Pakistan in dealing with the energy crisis is one of the priorities of the US.
He said that the US helped Pakistan increase its energy capacity by 4,000 MW.
According to the US Department of State, more than 50 million Pakistani homes are getting electricity with the help of American projects.
