Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian resistance organization Hamas, released 24 hostages on October 7, while Israel in response released 39 Palestinian children and women in its prisons.
A 4-day ceasefire in the besieged Gaza area of Occupied Palestine officially started today under the agreement reached between Israel and Hamas.
The temporary ceasefire started at 7 am local time and will continue for the next 4 days till 7 am on Tuesday.
Prisoners are to be exchanged under the Israel-Hamas agreement during the ceasefire.

Abu Obeidah, the spokesman of Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, has said that 24 Israeli hostages, including Thai citizens, have been released.
The Palestinian Broadcasting Agency, which is considered to be a supporter of Hamas, said that Al-Qassam Brigades handed over the hostages to the Red Cross, after which the Red Cross handed them over to Egypt.
According to the spokesman of the Qatari Foreign Ministry, 13 Israelis, 10 Thais, and one Filipino citizen are among those released from Al-Qassam prison.
According to Israeli media, the Israeli security official has also confirmed the release of 13 hostages by Hamas.
According to the Israeli media, the hostages will be transferred by helicopter to the Schneider Hospital on the outskirts of occupied Tel Aviv.
Israeli radio has said that all the hostages were declared healthy in the initial medical examination.
39 Palestinians remained in Israeli captivity
After the release of Israeli prisoners by Hamas, the occupying forces also released 39 Palestinian women and children.
Palestinian prisoners were transferred from different prisons in Israel to Ofer prison, from where 24 Palestinian women and 15 children were released by the Israeli authorities and handed over to the Red Cross.
The released Palestinian prisoners belong to occupied Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank.
The spokesman of the Qatari Foreign Ministry has confirmed the release of 39 Palestinian women and children by Israel.
Note that under the prisoner exchange deal, Israel will release 3 Palestinian prisoners for each hostage released.
