The Kuwaiti government has declared a public holiday on Thursday, September 4, 2025, on the occasion of the birth of the last Prophet, Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him).
According to the Kuwait News Agency, the decision to close government institutions on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (peace be upon him) was made at the weekly cabinet meeting held on Tuesday.
The announcement said that all ministries and government institutions will remain closed on Thursday, while offices will open on Sunday, September 7, 2025, due to the weekly holidays on Saturday and Sunday.
The statement also said that departments providing essential services will decide on the holiday themselves according to their nature.
The cabinet of the United Arab Emirates has also announced that there will be a one-day holiday on the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
It should be noted that in Arab countries, except for the two Eids, after cabinet approval, all other holidays can be moved to the beginning or end of the week so that citizens can get additional holidays at the same time.
