PESHAWAR: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has said that the JI disapproved all forms of martial law including judicial martial law.
Speaking at the concluding session of the Peshawar youth Festival on Friday, he said, some people were talking of judicial martial but that was not acceptable. He thanked the Chief Justice of Pakistan for opposing judicial martial law.
Sirajul Haq said some people considered Pakistan a secular state. He reminded those elements that this country was achieved in the name of Islam, it was sacred like a mosque and it would be built as a strong Islamic super power.
The JI chief, Khyber P. Senator Mushtaq Ahmed Khan, President, JI Youth Muhammad Zubair Gondal, JI central leader Intekhab Khan Chamkani also addressed the gathering. JI Information Secretary Qaiser Sharif was also resent.
Sirajul Haq said that if the US, India or Israel cast an evil eye on this country, their eyes would be pulled out.
The JI chief said that Pakistan was not the name of a piece of land; instead it was an ideology, a philosophy and a goal. Pakistan was the most sacred place on the earth after the state of Madina. Safeguarding its territorial and ideological borders was the duty of its citizens, he added.
He said that the youth of the country was brave, intelligent and ambitious and hard working. No power on earth could humble this country in the presence of this youth, he added.
The JI chief said that the slogan of “Pakistan Ka Matlab Kya, La Ilaha Illalah would be revived.
He said the JI wanted a Pakistan in which no one was hungry, illiterate and unemployed. NNI
