ISLAMABAD: Imran Khan, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), has denounced the Narendra Modi administration in India for torturing senior Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik in Tihar prison, which compelled the Kashmiri politician to embark on a hunger strike.

The United Nations Secretary-General (UNSG), the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (UNHCHR), and international human rights organisations were urged by Mr.

Khan in a statement released here on Tuesday to take action against India and spare Mr. Malik’s life, which was in grave danger.

According to PTI officials, a cabal of crooks’ callous attitude toward the public has made their plight significantly worse since they are more concerned with maintaining their power than resolving the problems of the populace.

Hammad Azhar, the secretary general of PTI Punjab, criticised the government for raising the cost of power in a social media post.

He said that the PTI had rejected the government’s decision to increase the price of electricity by Rs3.50 per unit.In the midst of the nation’s constitutional and political crises, PTI’s top leader Imran Ismail said that the ‘imported administration’ had raised the power tariff.

In a statement released here, he claimed that the inept administration had sparked an unprecedented wave of inflation and that the rise in electricity prices will make people’s problems worse.

He claimed that during a period when the rain had caused chaos across the nation, the government had covertly raised the price of electricity.
