Islamabad: The federal government increased the prices of petroleum products by increasing the price of petrol by one rupee 35 paise per liter.
A notification has been issued by the Ministry of Finance to change the prices of petroleum products, according to which petrol has become expensive by Rs. 1.35, high speed diesel oil by Rs. 3.85 per liter.
According to the notification, kerosene oil has been reduced by Rs 1.48 and light diesel oil by Rs 2.61 per litre.
The new prices of petroleum products will be applicable from 12 midnight and will be implemented for the next 15 days.
The notification stated that the revision in the prices of petroleum products has been done in the context of the decline in oil prices in the international market.
After the price hike, the price of petrol has increased from Rs 247.03 per liter to Rs 248.38 per litre, the price of high speed diesel has increased to Rs 255.14 per liter from Rs 251.29 per litre.
Similarly, the price of kerosene oil has decreased from Rs.163.02 per liter to Rs.161.54 per liter and the price of light diesel oil has decreased from Rs.150.12 per liter to Rs.147.51 per liter.
