RAWALPINDI, Sept 30 (DNA): The administration of Rawal Town and Cantonment Board, Rawalpindi has formulated a sanitation plan to remove sacrificial animals’ leftovers in the city during the three days of Eidul Azha.
According to plan, the sacrificial animals’ leftovers and wastage will be picked up by sanitation staff after every hour from city streets and Mohallas and taken to dumping point to keep the city clean.
It is learnt that vacations of all sanitary workers have been cancelled and temporary sanitary workers have also been hired to ensure complete implementation of sanitation plan.
The city will be divided into six sectors and there will be an incharge of each sector and sanitary worker will be given pushcarts for carrying away sacrificial animals’ leftovers. The sanitary workers will take the animals’ leftovers to the dumping points.
The citizens have been directed to put the sacrificial animals’ leftovers outside their homes instead of throwing them to nullahs or Lai Nullah.
The sanitary staff will remain present in city streets and Mohallas from 8 am to 8 pm during the three days of Eidul Azha. The sanitary staff will also sprinkle spray in city streets and Mohallas.
