Rs99.821 billion released for development projects

ISLAMABAD (INP): The government has released over Rs 99.821 billion under Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for various projects against total allocations of Rs 525 billion for the fiscal year 2014-15.

According to the latest data of Ministry of Planning, Development and Reforms, Rs23,736.200 million have been released for various projects of Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission, out of its total allocations of Rs51,475 million, earmarked under PSDP for FY 2014-15.

An amount of Rs3,921.931 million have been released for Higher Education Commission (HEC) out of its total allocations of Rs200,68.926 million whereas Rs9,745.275 million have been released for Water and Power Division (Water Sector) out of its total allocations of Rs43,427.180 billion for the current fiscal year.

The government released Rs15,216.400 million for Railways Division for which Rs39,566 million have been earmarked in the PSDP of FY 2014-15.

An amount of Rs1,259.291 has been released for Cabinet Division out of its total allocations of Rs2,077.587 million whereas Rs18.226 million have been released for Communications Division out of Rs191.130 million.

 

A sum of Rs139.200 million have been released for Commerce Division out of its total allocations of Rs363 million whereas out of the total allocations of Rs11,061 million allocated for Finance Division, the government has so far released Rs880.478 million.

According to the data, the government also released Rs704.729 million for Interior Division for which Rs3,900.168 million have been earmarked in the budget of current year whereas Rs170.259 million have been released for National Food Security and Research Division.

Similarly, Rs5,587.004 million have been released for National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination Division out of its total allocations of Rs27,014 million.

A sum of Rs334.683.083 million have been released for Planning, Development and Reform Division out of Rs32,878.379 million, the data revealed.       An amount of Rs18.226 has been released for Communications Division (other than NHA) out of its total allocations of Rs191.130 million whereas Rs.13.860 million have been released for Narcotics Control Division out of its total funds of Rs324.300 million.

The government also released Rs147.171 million for Science and Technological Research Division, Rs40.400 million for Textile Industry Division  and Rs140 million for SUPARCO out of its total allocations of Rs.700 million.
