Corps commanders praise Afghan-US security pact

RAWALPIND: The 175th Corps Commanders Conference meeting was held at GHQ Wednesday to review the progress on Zarb-e-eAzab and security situation across the country. Matters of professional interest were also discussed.
The meeting was presided over by the Chief of Army Staff General Raheel.
The participants paid rich tributes to their retiring fellows in the meeting, while promoted Lieutenant Generals and Corps Commanders were accorded welcome.
According to ISPR, a detailed briefing was given to the participants on internal and external security situation of the country.
The COAS, General Raheel Sharif expressed his satisfaction over the progress of the operation Zarb-e-Azab and lauded the successes made so far by the coordinated efforts of armed forces aimed at purging the tribal region as well country’s soil from the domestic as well foreign terrorists. .
The Corps Commanders while reviewing the security pact signed between the newly elected Afghan administration and the United States termed it positive move for durable peace in Afghanistan.
