LAHORE: After former Prime Minister Imran Khan “broke off communication with him,” PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja stated on Friday that he wishes to preserve excellent ties with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
Khan cut off touch with Raja shortly after he was dismissed from the premiership, Raja said during a media briefing on Friday.
When asked about his connection with his former captain, Raja replied, “Imran Bhai cut off touch with me, and I haven’t spoken to him in a long time.”
Raja emphasized developing relationships with the current PCB patron-in-chief despite rumors that he will be kicked from the board.
We can’t exist in a world of gossip, he remarked, and continuity is necessary for addition to political harmony.
“You see, our prime minister serves as our major supporter. If he agrees to meet with us, we will discuss our work with him as we have asked for his time. Since we all want to advance cricket, I don’t believe there is any need for ego in this situation “the former cricketer clarified.
“If the law calls for the removal of the PCB chairman on a regular basis, go ahead and do it. Otherwise, the game will not gain from gratifying personal preferences.”
