Islamabad / Rawalpindi: On the protest of PTI in D Chowk, the administration sealed all the roads coming to Islamabad due to which the connection between Rawalpindi and Islamabad was cut off. The police shelled the workers and arrested several workers.
According to the police, three people were arrested from D Chowk, including two citizens and a Tehreek-e-Insaf worker.
Chering Cross Chowk has been barricaded from both sides while MH Chowk Saddar Mall Road is also closed from both sides. Hyder Road, Fleishman and Meru Station Road, Murreh Chowk from all sides and Murree Road are also completely closed. The Double Road Stadium has also been kept closed by erecting barriers.
Old Airport Road from Kachhari to Koral is open while Sawan Bridge is also open. The City Traffic Police Rawalpindi says that during the peace and order situation, keep in mind the condition of the roads and avoid unnecessary travel.

According to police sources, lanes for motorcycles are open on the main highways connecting the twin cities, but the roads leading to Red Zone and D Chowk are completely closed.
The police say that the only way to enter the red zone is from Margalla Rauf, no protestors have gathered on any of the highways.
All the highways leading to Islamabad have been blocked with containers. Faizabad, T Chowk, Khanna Bridge, Sixth Road, Double Road and Ninth Avenue have been blocked by containers.
Citizens going to Islamabad including working professionals are facing serious problems. Mobile phone services are suspended in Islamabad and Rawalpindi and security is on high alert.

According to the spokesperson of Islamabad Police, Section 144 is in force in the capital and Islamabad Police is always busy to protect the life and property of the people. Citizens are requested not to be part of any illegal activities, law will be initiated against those who disrupt peace and order.
According to the spokesman, keep in mind the traffic advisory while traveling in view of road closures. Guidance can be taken from Islamabad Police FM 92.4 and Pukar 15 to know the latest traffic situation. Citizens should report any emergency on call 15.
