Prohibited Funding Case: Election Commission gave last chance to PTI lawyer to present his arguments

Action Commission adjourned further hearing of case till June 6.

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission has given a last chance to the party’s lawyer to submit arguments on the show cause notice related to the confiscation of PTI prohibited funding.

A three-member commission headed by the Chief Election Commissioner conducted the hearing. On behalf of PTI, Naveed Anjum, Assistant Advocate, appeared before the Election Commission and requested to adjourn the hearing.

During the hearing, the Chief Election Commissioner said that we give the date of your will, the date of the will of Anwar Mansoor was also given in the previous hearing.

PTI’s assistant lawyer said that Anwar Mansoor is in the Sindh High Court. The Chief Election Commissioner said that no one will get time to appear before the Election Commission, the case started on August 22 and is still ongoing. Even after 10 months, the hearing of the case could not be started, it will not work like this and the process has to be stopped somewhere, if you cannot appear yourself, at least submit the answer.

Assistant counsel PTI said that thousands of PTI workers were arrested after May 9 incidents and all PTI officials are in hiding, PTI offices are closed due to fear of raids.

The Chief Election Commissioner said that in this way, the hearing will be postponed until after the next general election. The Election Commission has already given a decision in the main case.

Action Commission adjourned further hearing of the case till June 6.
