LAHORE : The prime minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif received an exemption from court appearance on Tuesday in a money laundering case from a special court.
The prime minister, Shehbaz Sharif, and his son, Hamza Shahbaz, are accused of laundering Rs 16 billion through fictitious firms.
PM Shehbaz Sharif’s attorney presented a request for an exemption from the court appearance at the beginning of today’s hearing, citing the premier’s involvement in crucial national issues.
The attorney begged the judge to excuse PM from the court appearance for one day, and the judge complied. Hamza, on the other hand, showed up in front of the special court.
