Phone, internet connections remain disrupted

LAHORE (INP): Thousands of telephone lines and internet connections were still out of order on Tuesday since the fire that broke out at PTICL building three days back.

Fire Brigade sources said that the fire broke out around 2:00 AM on Sunday which engulfed three floors.  Telephone exchange and other installations were affected by the blaze and according to a PTCL spokesman 45,000 telephone lines and almost 25,000 internet connections were disconnected due to the fire.People in many areas were unable to reach emergency services through telephone and mobile phones even after the passage of three days.
