LAHORE: Sources privy to Petroleum Ministry have reported on Tuesday that prices of petroleum products are likely to be slashed starting from October following reduction in international prices.
According to the sources, cut nearly up to Rs 4 per litre is expected on different petroleum products.
If the ministry goes ahead with the recommendation, petrol price would be slashed by Rs 3.30 per litre, that of high-speed diesel by Rs 3.80 per litre and that of light diesel Rs 2.10 per litre.
Price of kerosene oil will be reduced by Rs 2.50 per litre and high octane by Rs 4 per litre.
