Ramiz informed the National Assembly Standing Committee on Inter-provincial Coordination (IPC), which convened here at Parliament House, that the PCB had supplied a bulletproof vehicle for him due to the life threats.
Ramiz responded that he initially received the threats during the Pakistan Super League when asked to explain them by reporters following the committee meeting (PSL).
The committee was informed that Pakistan’s team had a 75% overall victory record in recent international games, which was superior to India’s (68 per cent).
Ramiz informed the committee that numerous initiatives were being undertaken to further enhance the nation’s cricketing infrastructure, and that the PCB planned to host a junior T20 league in October of this year and a women’s T20 league in February of the following year.
“The PCB will import mud from Australia to construct [quick and bouncy] pitches for the [national] team to compete in this year’s T20 World Cup [in Australia],” Ramiz said at the committee meeting.
