ISLAMABAD: PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has claimed that they have the support of over 172 MNAs for the no-trust motion submitted by the joint Opposition against the Prime Minister Imran Khan and is confident of ousting the PTI government.

The statement from the Opposition leader came during a program Jirga, which will be aired this Saturday at 10 pm.

Fazl, who is one of the three bigwig Opposition leaders and president of his own faction of JUI, said that the government’s allies are not willing to support the premier anymore.

Meanwhile, the fragmentation within the ruling PTI has set in its central and provincial governments, he added.

The veteran politician said that the PDM had encouraging contacts with PTI’s allies, namely PML-Q, Grand Democratic Alliance, MQM-P, and Balochistan Awami Party.

No-trust motion submitted

The Opposition is confident of having the numbers to remove PM Imran Khan through the no-trust motion and has said that they took the step after completing their homework.

The opposition parties submitted the no-trust motion earlier this week in the National Assembly Secretariat to “get rid of PTI government.”

The main coalition partners of the ruling party have also not publicly announced support to the PTI but the federal ministers are claiming that PML-Q and MQM-P are with them.
