Lahore: Pakistan women’s cricket team player Naheeda Khan has announced her retirement from international cricket.
Naheeda Khan’s international career spanned 14 years. He played his first ODI on February 7, 2009, against Sri Lanka in Bogra, Bangladesh.
Naheeda Khan has the honor of being the only female cricketer from Balochistan to represent Pakistan in international cricket. He represented Pakistan in 120 international matches, scoring 2014 runs and taking one wicket.
He also holds the distinction of making the most catches in an ODI match. He took four catches against Sri Lanka in Dambulla in 2018, that match was won by Pakistan team by 94 runs. Naheeda Khan also represented Pakistan in three 50-over World Cups 2017, 2013, 2022 and four T20 World Cups 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018.
Keeping her commitment to cricket, Naheeda Khan took up the coaching field and recently took charge as the assistant coach of Blasters in the Pakistan Cup Women’s Cricket Tournament.
Earlier, he also worked as an assistant coach to Tawfiq Umar, the head coach of the Amazon team in the women’s league held in March. In these exhibition matches, Amazon won two to one.
