Karachi: Sindh Energy Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah has said that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz is doing an excellent job, we respect and appreciate her and appreciate her good works.

Reacting to the statements of the spokespersons of the Sindh and Punjab governments, Nasir Shah said that both governments are doing an excellent job for the welfare of the people under the guidance of their leadership. There is no competition between the provincial governments, rather each province starts projects according to the needs of the people.

The provincial energy minister said that unnecessary conflicts between the provinces should be avoided so that the country’s environment does not deteriorate. He praised Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and said that we respect and appreciate her and appreciate her good works.

Nasir Shah further said that when Punjab ministers and spokespersons falsely claim to be introducing some projects for the first time in Pakistan, while they have been running under the Sindh government for many years, it becomes necessary for us to present our position.

He further said that if the Sindh Chief Minister wants the completion of Jamshoro-Sehwan Road, then there is nothing wrong with it. The Sindh government had provided Rs7 billion to the National Highway Authority (NHA) for this project in 2017, but it is a matter of regret that the NHA has not completed the project since April 2017, due to which thousands of precious lives have been lost.

Nasir Hussain Shah said that if the Sindh government demands the implementation of a project from the federation, then it is the constitutional right of the province and there is nothing wrong in it. The Sindh government has never objected to the federal projects of Punjab.

The provincial minister said that the Sindh government wants that just as other provinces are given federal projects, Sindh also gets its legitimate right. When a province demands its right, no other province should object to it.
