Data from the National Institute of Health, Islamabad (NIH) showed Thursday morning that the COVID-19 positivity ratio has surpassed 21% in Karachi as the transmission of the infection sees a quick surge across the metropolis and the rest of the country.
When 650 samples were examined, a total of 138 new illnesses were found, raising the city’s positive rate to 21.23 percent.
Abbotabad, where the positive rate is 8.7%, is the second-most afflicted city.
However, a persistent increase in new coronavirus infections across the nation caused the nationwide COVID-19 positive rate to surpass 2 percent for the first time in three months.
