Karachi: Pakistani batsman Imam-ul-Haq says that he used to cry under the shower after being taunted by Parchi.
Imam-ul-Haq made this revelation during a conversation in the program, he said that when I made my debut, I was 23 years old at that time, I came to the team after performing well in domestic cricket. But my uncle Inzamam-ul-Haq was the chief selector at that time, so I was called Parchi.
He said that during tours I used to give my mobile to the manager, shed tears in the shower, but now these things have reduced, even now I don’t use social media during tours, I use Twitter and Instagram, WhatsApp.
The batsman said, “Even now if I get out for zero, people start saying ‘slip-slip’. It’s an honor to be in the top 5 of the ODI rankings, but it also comes with a responsibility to perform well.” Well, for me it is more important to have a team in the top 3 than my ranking.
