In an effort to take full advantage of the potential of the global freelancing market, which will aid in the repayment of the country’s loans, they have sought the government’s support and want it to include their input in the freelancing policy.
It has been estimated that there is a $1.5 trillion industry for independent contractors. There are currently about 77 million freelancers working.
They claimed Pakistan could stop receiving loan packages from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) if the government promoted independent contractors, much like India did to increase its foreign exchange profits.
