AMSTELVEEN: On Wednesday, England destroyed the Netherlands with the help of Jason Roy and Jos Buttler, winning the third one-day international by an eight-wicket margin and clinching the series 3-0.

In Amstelveen, Roy scored 101 runs without being out for his tenth one-day international century, and Buttler, filling in for injured captain Eoin Morgan, smashed an unbeaten 86.

Prior to this, the Netherlands faltered, going from 203-3 in the 40th over to 244 all out, a total that never seemed adequate against a potent England.

Before Salt and Dawid Malan were both bowled by Paul van Meekeren with the score at 85, Roy and Phil Salt (49) quickly struck to start England’s comeback.

However, Roy achieved his century off just 86 pitches, and Buttler, who scored 162 while remaining unbeaten in the first game of the series, put up a compelling performance by smashing five sixes.

Earlier, Brydon Carse took 2-49, while David Willey had the best performance with 4-36.
