Islamabad: Justice Mansoor Ali Shah’s letter on his refusal to participate in the full court reference has surfaced, Justice Mansoor Ali Shah said that Chief Justice Faiz Isa created division among his fellow judges.
Justice Mansoor Ali Shah has written a letter to the Registrar Supreme Court in which he has asked that my letter be kept on the reference record.
In the letter, Justice Mansoor Ali Shah wrote that the role of the Chief Justice is to protect the rights of the people and a Chief Justice has to protect the independence of the judiciary, but Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa ignored the external pressure on the judiciary.
Justice Mansoor Ali Shah said that in the eyes of the Chief Justice, the decisions of the judiciary have no value and the Chief Justice said that the decisions should not be implemented. Will remain on the judiciary.
In the letter, Justice Mansoor Ali Shah further said that Chief Justice Faiz Isa failed to establish the necessary respect for judicial tolerance and harmony, former Chief Justice Saqib Nisar also refused to participate in his reference if he transgressed the constitutional limits. And the reasons for Saqib Nisar’s non-participation in the reference were also given through a letter.
Justice Mansoor Ali Shah said that instead of interfering in the judiciary, Chief Justice Faiz Isa opened more doors, Chief Justice Faiz Isa buried his head in the sand like an ostrich for interfering in the judiciary.
