Islamabad: All entrances to Islamabad have been closed to prevent the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf protest, while the road coming from Murree has been dug up.
According to Express News, due to the measures taken by the Islamabad administration, traffic on the entrances of the city has been partially restored and closed in some places.
The expressway has been sealed from Khanna Bridge, while the underpasses on the sides are open for traffic, the expressway is also sealed at the Blue Area.
Faizabad Interchange has been opened for traffic by removing containers. Iran Avenue is closed at D12, Chungi Bridge No. 26 has been closed by placing containers, while Zero Point is also open for traffic.
A series of barriers have been erected on Rawalpindi IJP Road, while the road connecting the expressway to Srinagar Highway has also been closed.
On the other hand, the road coming from Murree has been dug up and closed at some places in addition to placing containers.
Meanwhile, the motorways have been closed since morning, causing severe inconvenience to the citizens of Rawalpindi and Islamabad due to the road closures.
