KARACHI: Cambridge Assessment International Education has rescheduled exams for two A-level subjects in Pakistan that were cancelled on May 10 and 12 due to turmoil following Imran Khan’s detention.
A new update from CAIE states that the results of the A-level Mathematics and History exams, which were given concurrently on June 21 in the morning and at noon, respectively, across Pakistan, will be available by August 18.
According to reports, this decision has been communicated to schools, universities, and private candidates.
On August 10, the British Council will release the results of all past exams.
The most recent development occurred a week after the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) contacted international boards to ask them to publicly state their policies regarding the cancelled papers as a result of the country’s recent unstable security situation in South Asia.
Following Imran Khan’s detention, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman, the British Council cancelled all of the Cambridge exams scheduled for May 10, and May 12.
