GUMI, SOUTH KOREA: Pakistan’s world-renowned javelin throw champion and Olympic gold medalist Arshad Nadeem has once again proven his mettle. He easily qualified for the final round of the Asian Athletics Championships 2025.
In the qualifying round of Group A during the ongoing championship in South Korea, Arshad Nadeem made a brilliant throw of 86.34 meters in his first attempt, which proved to be the longest throw of this stage.
His performance not only took him to the final, but also made him a favorite candidate for the event.
Indian athlete Yash, who participated in the competition, could throw the javelin up to 76.67 meters in his first attempt, which was about 10 meters less than Arshad Nadeem’s performance.

Arshad’s throw was not only technically strong but also a strong manifestation of his confidence and fitness.
It may be recalled that Arshad Nadeem not only won the gold medal in the javelin throw competition at the Paris Olympics 2024 with a historic throw of 92.97 meters but also set a new Olympic record.
This distance was the best performance of his career, which gave him new recognition on the global stage.
Arshad Nadeem’s brilliant return to the Asian Athletics Championships is very welcome for Pakistan.
