Imran Khan, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), confirmed the veracity of the audio leak on Wednesday, saying that it was “a good thing” that the conversation was recorded and that the diplomatic cypher they were discussing should also be made available to the public. Imran Khan was joined on the recording by his principal secretary at the time, Azam Khan.

Following the online leak of an audio clip of the two PTI leaders discussing the diplomatic issue earlier today, the dismissed premier spoke with reporters at the Punjab House.

The cypher itself, according to Imran, should be made public so that everyone in the country can see “the depth of the plot.”The PTI leader further claimed that Shehbaz Sharif, the prime minister, had released the audio chat.

Imran had stated on the tape that he would “play to the cypher,” to which Imran had responded that he still had to play to it entirely.

He warned the reporters that he would “play to it” if they revealed the cypher.

The so-called audio clip labelled “Story of the cypher conspiracy part 1,” begins midway through a conversation between Imran and Azam.

“We must now experiment with this. The PTI chairman is heard purportedly saying in the audio clip, “Don’t take America’s name, just toy with this. Azam, in a second voice, suggests that a meeting be convened first to discuss the issue.

The audio leaks from the PTI government come shortly after PM Shehbaz and important party figures drew attention over the weekend when audio recordings that appeared to be of their discussion appeared on social media.
