During October 23rd and 24th in southern Lebanon, Hezbollah fighters came out of a tunnel and attacked Israeli soldiers with grenades, killing 5 soldiers and injuring 6.
According to Israeli media, two Bedouin clashes with Hezbollah have been going on for the past two days in South Lebanon, in which the Israeli army has suffered heavy casualties and financial loss.
The Israeli military has confirmed that Sergeant 1st Class Guy Ben Harosh, Warrant Officer (ret) Mordechai Haim Amuel, Sergeant Major (ret) Shmuel Harari, Master Sergeant Shlomo Avied Naaman, and Sgt. Shuwail Bin Nitin was killed.
The Israeli military spokesman added that Hezbollah attacked with grenades and retreated into the tunnel.
It has been said in the statement that 6 officials were also injured in this clash, out of which 3 are in critical condition, so there is a possibility that the death toll will increase.
The Israeli army’s statement added that a soldier from the Okitz canine unit was also killed and another wounded during a battle with Hezbollah in southern Lebanon on Thursday.
The Israeli military statement claimed that all the local leadership of Hezbollah had been wiped out in the retaliatory operations.
In two separate incidents on Thursday, an officer with the 75th Battalion of the Israeli Army’s 7th Armored Brigade was seriously injured in an anti-tank guided missile attack.
In another incident, an officer of the 6226th Battalion of the Parachute Brigade was seriously injured by a bullet. All the injured soldiers have been shifted to hospitals for medical treatment.
It should be remembered that today 5 Israeli soldiers were killed and 19 were injured in Hezbollah’s rocket attack.
Thus, since Wednesday, the number of Israeli soldiers killed in clashes with Hezbollah has reached 10, while around 30 are injured.
