RAWALPINDI: The former president and co-chairman of PPP Asif Ali Zardari appeared in the Accountability court amid tight security  in assets reference case.

Mr Zardari  accompanied by his legal team pleaded to exempt him as he won’t be able to come to court on regular basis due to security reasons.

On his plea, the judge granted Zardari exemption from appearing before the court and he would be represented by his lawyer Farooq H. Naek in upcoming hearings of the case

Statements of the witnesses will be recorded in the next hearing on June 2.
