Centurion: Leg-spinner Zahid Mahmood has been named as limited-overs vice-captain Shadab Khan’s replacement for the three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe.
On the other hand, Fakhar Zaman will stay with the side for the T20Is in South Africa and Zimbabwe after his stellar form in the ongoing ODI series against South Africa.
Zahid was originally named in the two-Test squad against Zimbabwe, while Fakhar was initially named for the ODIs only. Both the changes were approved by the national selection committee on the request of the team management. Pakistan will play four T20Is against South Africa from April 9-16 while they will face Zimbabwe in three T20Is from April 21-25.
