Young doctor’s protest

November 22, 2016

Our society is averse to the Young Doctor’s Protest. I want to tell something to every citizen.

Becoming a doctor takes 5 years that comprises 4 professional exams with more than 100 tests. The mental stress makes it more difficult and hard. When you finally become a doctor, a House Officer is paid only PKR 31000. Besides normal working hours it includes calls and post calls. Other than that they are being humiliated frequently. However, their hands are tied and they are not permitted to do anything about their patients, so they file for applications and when they are not heard, the only way is to do something that will bring attention to them.

I wish that our leaders just for one day stay with doctors and they will realize how tough the job of a doctor is.
