ISLAMABAD: Army Chief General Raheel Sharif visited South Waziristan and inaugurated the launch of several projects. General Raheel Sharif said that operation Zarb-e-Azb is in final stages. He said that terrorists will not be allowed to come back and the army will not return until the job is completed.

According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), Army Chief inaugurated Wana Cadet College and 62 km DI Khan trunk road among other projects. 500 children will be taught at the sophisticated Wana Cadet College while Dera Ismail Khan trunk road will be part of 705 kilometer long central trade corridor.

132 KV grid station and 54 km transmission line was demand of the people of Wana. According to ISPR, Army Chief reassured that the reclamation of tribal areas will be completed under all circumstances. General Raheel Sharif said that development projects will improve the lives and employment rate of the people of FATA as it will provide jobs.

Terrorists will be driven out of the area, said General Raheel. Highlighting the sacrifices of the tribal people, he said that terrorists will not be allowed to come back adding that operation will be continued to uplift the security situation in the region.
